Thermal inspection with an infrared camera is a powerful preventive maintenance diagnostic tool, that can see defects invisible to the eye. Thermal or infrared inspection is a non-intrusive and non-destructive method for residential and commercial building inspection.
Thermography can detect thermal losses in the walls and ceilings of the building, air infiltration through windows, thermal bridges, and insulation compliance, as well as locate water infiltration problems in the roof and building envelope.
Thermography detects problems on mechanical equipment before breakage occurs, and also allows checking electrical power, as the inspection is performed without contact. With the infrared camera, there is no more need open walls or disassemble mechanical devices to identify the source of a problem.
Thermal inspection is conducted by a certified thermography technician, member of the ASNT. Following a thermograph inspection of premises, Diligence Inspection will produce a report for the client 24 to 48 hours after the inspection.
